Great Book
Review Date: January 12, 2010
Reviewer: Charles,
I have really enjoyed this book so far. It's full of great information for those who are truly serious about inventing. Mr. Docie does a tremendous job in sharing the potential obstacles and solutions associated with the subject. Mr. Docie has alot of knowledge and one would be foolish not to have this tool as a resource. It's a very small investment compared to the thousands of dollars you could lose if you decide to pursue your "brilliant idea" blindly.

Worth the Money
Review Date: February 20, 2008
Reviewer: Steve Bordley, Phoenix, AZ
This book is well worth reading. It covers a variety of topics and presents realistic information in a well organized manner. At times it had me wondering why I would ever want to pursue an invention because it does such an excellent job of illustrating the complexities that lie ahead. It is geared more towards licensing an idea as opposed to bringing it to market but is worth the read whatever you are considering. It is a fast read too and does not bog down with a lot of unrelated tangents.
Discouraging

Reading this book was more discouraging than anything else I've ever encountered. It is a sobering reality check -kinda like telling your 7 year old kid that he's never really going to be an astronaut. The author makes everything sound soooo terribly difficult!
I've now recovered from reading the book and am just going to go for it on my own. I do not recommend this book to anyone -the info is not worth his powerful dissuasion tactics.
Does this guy want to be the only inventor in the world or something? What is his problem?
Scary

I haven't gotten all the way through the book but it scared me enough not to want to go through the effort of inventing and marketing something.
An Essential Guide for Inventors
Review Date: January 6, 2007
Reviewer: V. Wyndham, UK
This book is an essential investment for enabling the inventor to take the right steps, and beware of the pitfalls of rip-off marketing companies and scams, with the thousands of dollars they charge.
The Special Bonus Workbook enables you to get started right away, and numerous Bookmark references refer you to the main part of the book for more detail and with many Words of Wisdom.
Another useful inclusion are the printable versions of the worksheets from the website for proceeding with commercialization of the product.
Valuable contacts of Local Inventors Organizations are also listed to help support inventors.
Finally, quoting from the book, "If you perform the exercises in the Workbook enough times, before you know it the process will flow intuitively. Interviewing people, who you have never met, can actually be fun, and you can make new friends. So relax and enjoy yourself.
